Hudson King is an Atlanta born filmmaker with interests in surrealism, absurdism, social psychology, and the human condition. As a child he’d find himself trying to reenact movie scenes with friends, immersing himself in fictional worlds. It wasn’t until adulthood that he realized film not only could help the viewer work through emotional issues and gain insight as to why these fictional worlds are more comforting, but also help the creator define their own worldview. Film as a canvas, like many art forms, could act as therapy where the viewer could be both the therapist or the patient. Pure entertainment can reach people in more ways than they tend to realize.

He is currently at work helping promote his and Co-Director Justin Solaiman’s recently completed short The Coronating released under their production company The Distorting Mirror as well as starting the early planning stages on a feature film.

Justin/Servius is a Bangladeshi-American gender non-conforming (He/They) writer/director in Atlanta. Their passion lies in writing genre scripts informed by both their identity and love for exploring social and philosophic constructs through a genre lens. He is currently in development with co-director Hudson King on their feature debut.
